Yes, although some of these qualities may already be present in children, it is when we consciously choose to engage with others in a way that emphasizes these qualities, that our relationships shift into this new adult model. As a marital coach and leader of Intimacy Retreats for couples, I especially appreciate the notion of &quot;service to something greater than yourself.&quot;  Oh - I would also add &quot;play&quot; to the list, in the sense of remembering not to take ourselves too seriously!</description>
